Our plans include
- Masters-level resilience certificate
- Examine current offerings related to resilience across the campus
- Develop 1 or 2 courses (e.g., overview and “capstone” courses) to form the core of the certificate
- Identify “course packages” of core + 3-4 other courses that could form a concentration within different departments / schools, so students could earn the certificate along with a masters degree in multiple programs
- As case study progresses, develop teaching materials based on case study
- Can be used in certificate course(s) and/or provided to instructors in other courses
- Weave participation in STAR-TIDES demo into appropriate courses
- Seek out and engage instructors of appropriate courses
- Develop teaching materials for instructors
- Engage with STEM education initiatives in Northern Virginia, such as Thomas Jefferson HS and NVCC
